Topic: Success in school
First, I will film the way going into a class where a teacher and students study (camera shows the way). Then the camera will show the whole class and show that the teacher uses Power Point(one camera to the teacher and other camera is preapared in the opposite side of the first camera to show the students who write down the notes from the Power Point). Then I will film the way how the teacher uses Power Point to teach the kids(camera is in the middle and shows the board and the teacher at the same time and then focus on the Power Point). The camera switches the place and shows the students who finish writing from the PowerPoint and listen to the teacher(in the same time the other camera will show the teacher who waits for the students to write everything down). Then I will film the situation where the students laugh because of the funny animations on PowerPoint that the teacher uses to make children having fun in learning. Finally, I will close by showing the whole class showing the students learning from the PowerPoint and having fun because of it.

Photo Essays?
The Photo Essays are amazing to watch because they explain a situation just using the pictures. Listening to the music and looking at the pictures at the same time, make me feel deeply about what is shown on the Photo Essay. However, there are several Photo Essays which the pictures do not go in the chronogical orders. Sometimes, there also videos that have sounds which do not really fit to the topic or do not go in the right tempo. If I revised my own Photo Essay, I would put change the pictures to make it clearer. I would also try to explain more about my topic by using more pictures which show a lot of exspressions. I do not really think that it is hard to tell a story using pictures and music because most of the pictures have different meaning and show an exact topic. Instead of saying something, you can use the lyrics of several musics to explain what you want to talk about. Therefore, it is not so a hard thing to tell a story without talking.
Poor children
1) The video shows the poverty of Africans who starve or have diseases. These make us to realize that we have one of the most beautiful life.
2) I like the music which talks about giving hope to the poor children.
3)Just through the pictures, it is possible to recognize the topic.

Five Rules for Better PowerPoint Presentations
1) You should not use Power Point to represent your presentation because it is not made to help you present. In your presentation you are the most important thing rather than you slides or handouts.
2) Create Power Point that is organized perfectly that you know already all the stuffs that are written on your Power Point. That helps the audience to understand better about your topic and feel relaxed about your speaking.
3) Make it sure that your Power Point is readable which means the font should be big enough that everybody can see it. If you like to make Power Point perfectly then use less words as possible because if there are too many words then the audience get bored easily. Try do not use paragraphs and if you really have to write in a paragraph then try to pick the most important words so that you do not use too many slides. Use fonts that fit to your writing because that make the information more readable. Do not use so many capitalization because sometimes it is hard to read.

The Science of PowerPoint Overload
The Power Point view has turned in a different way because of the research of Richard E. Mayer of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He did not work on Power Point instead of it he worked about how the human mind works. Through his research questions a range of multimedia, and also Power Point are affected by them. It was declared that you should use five lines of text on a slide, with no more than six words per line and that could be the best Power Point. However, the scientist figure out that it is better to put the text off the screen instead of putting it on the slides. It is better to put interesting illustrations or visuals that are connected with the topic. You can also put a small description on the visuals so that listeners have some ideas of the pictures that are shown on the screen. It would be also better if you give the Power Point, which is printed in a format of Notes Page Format, to the people. It is a hard and long work for you but it makes people to understand more things about the topic that you represent. Now it depends on us if we agree with this all Rich’s researches and if we want to change something about Power Point then we should change in our own minds and behavior. The most of the reason why people use the bullets are to help themselves reminding the information during the presentation. That means it is mostly made for the speakers and not for the audience. Some of the important of Rich’s researches are these: You should check if you used just words and include images. If there are words that you also use to speak then do not put these words on you slides. If there is some information that you do not even talk then you should delete these things. Sometimes it takes a long time just for one slide to explain, and then it is better to break them up in other slides. If you have too much information then you should make it shorter.

Help! My brain is overloaded!
We are taught in a wrong way since we were in a primary school. In the 1980’s John Sweller, from the school of education and the founding father of Cognitive Load Theory, said that we are not taught in the way how we think and learn which causes into a bad teaching method. This theory connects to working memory, which is a part of our brain that stores all the necessary things and also creates information for some tasks such as languages, learning, etc. Solving a problem takes a huge place of working memory. It is hard to keep all the information that you learned today because the working memory has a limited place of three or four items of information which are stored only just for three to four seconds without reading them through again. Professor Sweller says that a lot of teacher gives wrong information to the students. He declared that the information can be reorganized to make it easier. Sometimes the students do not know the information on the slides and they just copy it which does not help for studying. He said that it is easier to memorize if the information is said more than one time because our brain does not work if something is said just for few times.
Key points about Cognitive Load Theory:
1) Working memory is limited if you learn a new information. If the information is memorized for a long time, it can be brought back to working memory which takes a big place of working memory.
2) In classroom situation, not every information is stored in your brain unless you take notes.

Often, people do not have so much time to present all the bullets which causes to a bad presentation. Logic is not enough to communicate instead you also need emotion. Is Power Point used well? And would you use it for teaching the students?
I think that Power Point depends on the speaker how well she/he represents the presentation. Some of the people know how to use the Power Point but some of the others they do not really know the use of Power Point. A lot of speakers do not concern about their talk instead they spend more time to decorate Power Point. It is sometimes true that audience like Power Point if they are made in a funny and interested way. However, the listeners get bored about the topic that is presented if the speaker reads off the whole Power Point instead of explaining them. It is also true that a lot of speakers waste time for reading the whole Power Point. If there is too many information or slides then the audience gets bored easily. The good speakers do not really look at their Power Point and instead of it they explain what is written on Power Point and tells just short but interesting information. If I am a teacher then I would also use Power Point to make the children do not get bored and will let them time to finish their writing. I would also try to explain what I wrote on Power Point so the children do not copy just without understanding what is written on the slides. However, I will try that I do not always use Power Point to teach the children because it is boring if you use always the same material. I think it is also good to let the children create their own Power Point but I will not let them to spend on time to decorate Power Point because in my opinion the content is more important then how the slides look like. If I use Power Point to teach the children then I will also highlight all the important things that children should know. I will also have a handout for each student so he/she has the plan to have the information about what we are going to learn about.

How does PowerPoint affect to the people?
Today, a lot of people use Power Points to represent a presentation and it is common that the speaker just reads from the slides. A lot of audience gets bored because of the endless slides and of the speaker who copies the words from the Power Point that everybody can also read. He/She does not really explain about her topic which makes the presentation meaningless and sinful and most of the time the speaker uses too many slides that she/he runs off time and can not explain the real important information. These show that the slides are made for the speakers and not for the audiences which causes to a poor talk. However, good speakers speak the most interesting things first and then talk about the other details so the audience gets interested on the topic instead of getting bored. A lot of times the listeners do not really get so much information which tells us that the speaker should talk less. The speaker should just say the important things and skip all the unnecessary information and let them reading from the Power Point so they can remember better. Although, it does not mean that Power Point makes bad to the presentation because it is sometimes useful to take attention from the audience by showing them graphs or charts to let them think about the topic. In general the information on the slides should not be wordy and the talk should be short but have just the important information then it would be a perfect presentation. The best way to make the readers to get clear information is: First, the speaker should use a personal note that nobody can not see except him/her. Second is to bring slides that include just the important information so the audience can read at least if they are not listening. The last one is to give handouts to the listeners so they have the basic ideas of the topic.

It can be good for the speakers to use the slide ware but it can abuse the content but also the audience. Today, the students learn more about how to use a power point then learning a report. A lot of people use just 30 to 40 words on each slide which makes less information and wastes Sthe slides. It is easier to understand things if they are shown as combined or by side by side. People make graphs to show the comparison between things they want to show but it is unclear and does not really show the exact information that is talked about. The slide ware makes just prettier but does not really show the relationship with the topic which makes the meaning of the presentation unclear.
